Hysteria

Panic induced confusion,

Head spinning, life in motion.

Legs moving as fast as possible,

Footsteps approaching, screams inaudible.

Death catches up, bound and gagged,

Stabbed in the heart, away I am dragged.

Hidden away in the bowels of the earth,

Rotting in a closet awaiting rebirth.

Hoping someday for my remains to be discovered,

So finally irrevocable justice may be delivered.

Fire and Flood

The dreaded day is nearing of a fiery hail,
When man shall bow with tucked tail.
To the one they so wrongly smeared,
To the one they should have strongly feared.

Waves of heat shall fall as he bestows his wrath,
In payment for all we have destroyed on our path
The path of glory, wealth and growth,
Soon terror shall the heavens bring forth.

Pandemonium in the form of unholy kings,
And death in the shape of opalescent wings.
Faith in a higher power we must form,
To evade our Creators mighty storm.

But what happens when we refuse to believe,
In angels and demons like those we call naive.
Will we too then be resigned to a life of scorching penance ?
Or granted forgiveness in the name of ignorance.

The Indigo Spell

Intricately woven on sunlit trees,

Dancing on the backs of a lonely breeze.

Mesmerizing; this petalled enchantress,

Kiss of Death, Indigo temptress.

For a glance may not harm or kill its admirer,

But a single touch will render it a violet terror.

Cherish it from afar to elude its lilac blade,

Looks can be deceiving, deadly Nightshade.

Tessellate

Change your very being to blend in
Not be colorful while the rest have pale skin
Ignore the crow’s calling to sleep with doves
Maybe then you will find true love.

Love of being accepted into to the idea of propriety,
Bearing the dark mark of a disheveled society
Vanish into the constant pattern of in-numerous nobody’s
Trapped in the array, mind fervently fuzzy.

Cut the sides, smooth the edges
To fit right in, resignation you must pledge.
The fear of being an outcast far too great
Sink into the mould as triangles tessellate.

Is this the wondrous utopia you had dreamt ?
An atrocious life where you are unnaturally bent.
Maybe you were never meant to fit the “mould”
But instead to be your true motley of silver and gold.

Cosmic Love

IMG_6965.JPG

This is the story of two iridescent lovers,
Perfectly aligned under night’s cover.
Forbidden romance, heated desire
Lit by the sun and his magnificent fire.

Chained to their duties, forevermore
Never can they meet, bound to the shore.
Eternally enchanted by the moon’s silver trance
Allowed however, just a second’s glance.

Twice a year they are allowed to meet
In an eclipse that marks a passionate feat.
Moments together, love worthy of divinity
Wild adoration, lasts for infinity.

Waves of space rejoice at their cosmic union
Blend of Fire and Ice, the perfect fusion.
Shooting Stars a sign of their harmony
Supernovas claiming death with cacophony.

Exposed

Adorn the mask, hide your flesh,

This is the night, put on your dress.

Long flowing gowns of colors unlimited,

Dabbed with uncanny smears of scarlet.

A day to live as the monstrosities in the world,

Time to be one of the ghouls, terrors unfurled.

Roam about door after door, demanding candied sweets,

Maybe to appease the monster under the sheets.

Not the fabric that makes one horrifying and forlorn,

But the monster hidden underneath the layers of flesh and bone.

Halloween is a night different from the rest,

For we accept our roles as creatures, infest.

While the rest of the year we are truly human,

Masks of false pretense, veiling what is truly inhuman.

Inventing Shadows

IMG_6487.JPG

A walking corpse filled with anguish and dread,
The sign of a soul that has too often been bled.
Why would his bright light simply burn out ?
Possibly because he is damaged throughout.

Eyes once shined with the innocence of youth,
Now doused by the creeping melancholy of untruth.
Dark and twisted, the only facets of his character,
A battle to the finish where he is not the victor.

Everyday going through the same arduous motions,
Lacking steady faith or unmatched devotion.
He is but a shadow, a stigma on our society
Craving a full blown invasion of privacy.

Exist he does but on a whole other plane,
Stuck on this bleak level, bound by chain.
Creating a shadow but never to leave a mark,
Not on our lives but only in the dark.

An Unkindness of Ravens

Perched upon the branch of an elder oak,
Eyes brimming with hunger, ebony cloak
Talons sharp, a blood stained jaw,
Eerily beautiful but with many a flaw.

Wings of black, known to be nefarious
Whoever thought this to be all, must be delirious
Mustn’t judge a book by its tainted cover
Although dark, a brighter personality you may uncover.

Widely reputed for its malicious behavior,
And famous for its merciless demeanor.
But in those void less eyes of oblivion,
Traces of wisdom seek dominion.

Intellect and madness are both one handed
Words of insight not to be demanded
An endless swirl of a dual personality
All mixed up in a single feathered entity

These beasts of onyx despise cowards
Only to the brave, knowledge it shall pass onwards
Approach the deity only if you are not craven
For you might have to face an Unkindness of Ravens.

The Capgras Delusion

Before you read this poem you should know what Capgras Syndrome really is. Capgras Syndrome is a disorder in which a person holds a delusion that a friend, spouse, parent, or other close family member has been replaced by an identical-looking imposter.

Are you the person I have always known ?
Identical looks, nothing but a clone
You declare otherwise, know you to be a liar
Impersonate the one that I truly desire.

Enter my life, pretend you belong,
Absence of my true partner, it wishes to prolong.
A perfect double that is all that you are,
An imposter with the malicious intent to scar.

It takes your place and insists that I am delusional,
But my head tells me that this is unethical.
This shoddy knockoff has emotions, sparse
Feelings towards me, nothing but a farce.

The one that I love has been replaced by this cheap mimicry,
A walking reminder of your dull duplicity
When do you actually plan on returning ?
Is it when this twin of yours is finally seen burning ?

Writer’s Dissolution

Words and syllables spun of eloquent vocabulary,
Impellent thinking leads to an intangible slurry.
Calm your mind and the words will follow,
Weaving them into feelings, anything but shallow.

Wounded interior and a scarred soul,
Pain and Sadness resonating from my core.
Elaborate language your only remedy,
Fraudulent verbs my only clarity.

Geniuses we are not, just skilled at weaving,
A necessary sin to prevent sanity from leaving.
You believe us writers to be truly talented,
When all we have is a psyche that is multifaceted.

Commit this crime of passion we must,
Or crippled, we’ll be lying in the dust.
Our words, nothing but emotions of nature,
So when we die, we shall be immortalized on paper.

Writers write for they are egomaniacs,
A fancy poem our soul’s aphrodisiac.
Spinning words, the most heinous temptation,
Desperation for eternity our only salvation.
