Hysteria

Panic induced confusion,

Head spinning, life in motion.

Legs moving as fast as possible,

Footsteps approaching, screams inaudible.

Death catches up, bound and gagged,

Stabbed in the heart, away I am dragged.

Hidden away in the bowels of the earth,

Rotting in a closet awaiting rebirth.

Hoping someday for my remains to be discovered,

So finally irrevocable justice may be delivered.

Inventing Shadows

A walking corpse filled with anguish and dread,
The sign of a soul that has too often been bled.
Why would his bright light simply burn out ?
Possibly because he is damaged throughout.

Eyes once shined with the innocence of youth,
Now doused by the creeping melancholy of untruth.
Dark and twisted, the only facets of his character,
A battle to the finish where he is not the victor.

Everyday going through the same arduous motions,
Lacking steady faith or unmatched devotion.
He is but a shadow, a stigma on our society
Craving a full blown invasion of privacy.

Exist he does but on a whole other plane,
Stuck on this bleak level, bound by chain.
Creating a shadow but never to leave a mark,
Not on our lives but only in the dark.

Inferno’s Masquerade

Embers dance as flames follow
Matched head to head with the shadow
Eye to eye as the demons dance
Take a look or you might lose your chance

For this masquerade happens seldom
In the depths of their fiery kingdom
Where neither wears a cloak or mask
Both engulfed in the other as they bask

To separate them is out of the question
Since one does not exist without the other
Locked in an endless swirl of infinity
An exquisite duo befitting nobility

The inferno is ablaze as the darkness sets in
One step after the other, neither shall win
Together forever, fire and its shadow
An elaborate waltz that will leave you hollow

Woman In Black

I feel the pain in my head,
As rage grips my mind like a claw.
I now see with clarity the Woman in Black,
Radiant as the sun and without flaw.

Her ashen face cloaked by an exquisite veil,
Like the sun eclipses the moon.
As she beckons me closer with half a smile,
A step forward and I’m ready to swoon.

Her beautiful face turns murky with every step,
As my head throbs with a need for release.
Is it folly to continue on this treacherous path,
Or is it destiny calling in all its wrath.

I choose to move onward, pain now gripping my heart,
While the epitome of beauty casts down her impenetrable veil.
To reveal not a face of serenity,
But one ravaged to all extremity.

I try to run but the agony is far too great,
Falling to the ground, flashes of white seize my mind.
Peace engulfs me in its arms as I take my final breath,
Looking at the Woman in Black who was nothing but death.
